What we offer

Services for news teams

  • Breaking News Video Production

We film and edit urgent stories quickly and deliver them in broadcast-ready formats. Suited to bulletins that cannot wait for your own crew to be free.

  • Camera Technique Workshops

Classroom sessions on framing, lighting and audio for live and breaking stories. Participants practise with real kit and leave with habits they can use on their next shoot.

  • Newsroom Workflow Training

Training for editors and producers on story planning, ingest, editing queues and handover. We look at how work moves through your newsroom and where it tends to stall.

  • Field Reporting Kit Coaching

Practical coaching on compact camera, tripod, microphone and mobile kit for single-person crews. You learn to set up quickly and record reliable pictures and sound alone.

  • Post-Production and Edit Suites

Editing, captioning and packaging of news items for television transmission. Material is cut to length, checked and delivered in the format your playout desk requires.

Choosing a route

Commissioned production or training your own team

Some clients need a story made now; others want their crews to make stories faster themselves. The two routes below suit different situations, and many teams use both over time.

Tell us how often urgent stories overrun your own capacity and how experienced your crews are. That usually shows which route, or which mix of the two, makes sense.

Scope

What a job includes and what shapes it

Every enquiry is different, so we confirm scope in writing before work starts. These are the points that most often decide what a job involves and how long it will take to deliver.

What is included

Production jobs cover filming, editing and delivery in the format you name. Where you ask for captioning or packaging, that is agreed up front. Training jobs include preparation, the session itself and any practical exercises we set. We confirm each element in the written quotation so that you can see what the price covers and what it leaves out.

What changes the proposal

Location, travel from Taunton, crew size and the number of items all affect a job. For edit work, the length of finished items and the number of revisions matter. For training, group size, session length and whether we come to you or you visit us shape the plan. Short notice may limit what we can offer.

How a job proceeds

You contact us through the contact page with your brief. We reply with questions, then send a written quotation or confirmation. Once agreed, we carry out the work and send an invoice, which is paid by bank transfer. Cancellations and refunds follow our payment and refund policy, which we point you to at the outset.
